Camera work

I have also studied the different camera shot angles used in photography, a low angle shot is when the position of the camera is looking up at the object making it dominant and therefore make the audience feel inferior as it is human nature to feel intimidated when being looked down upon. An eye level shot makes eye contact easily accomplished as the equilibrium between the image and audience is balanced, this shot adds a more personal tone. A high angle puts the audience in a superior position in viewing the image and automatically puts across a sense of hierarchy between character and audience ,it gives the audience a sense of snobbery when reading the associated story, high angle shots can make the audience feel an inner confidence boost feeling superior. A canted image gives the impression that the associated story isn't going to be serious therefore puts the audience at ease. A birds eye shot allows the audience to feel as though they are spying on the issue, sparking off intrigue in the mind of the audience.

I have also explored different camera shots , a camera shot is the amount of space to be seen in a shot. It also allows the audience to feel different levels of intimacy with the image, a camera shots performance is also dependant on mise on scene and how that effects the audience and links to the story.

An extreme long shot contains a large amount of landscape. This is also known as an establishing shot. It allows for the scene to be processed in the audiences head and holds the ability to give the audience a privileged view as they might see what the character cant for example a train that's going to hit the character.
A long shot contains landscape but gives the viewer a more specific idea of setting. The characters full body is in the frame.
A mid shot contains the characters or a character from the waist up. From this shot, viewers can see the characters' faces more clearly.
A close-up contains just one character's face. This enables viewers to understand the actor's emotions and also allows them to feel empathy for the character.
An extreme close-up contains one part of a character's face or other object. This type of shot creates an intense mood and provides interaction between the audience and the viewer.
